RESPONSIBILITIES: 

Assist in overseeing daily operations of the Cincinnati Service Dept. Shop Technicians’ work to include:

  • Supervise up to approximately a dozen (12) mechanics, assign work orders, monitor performance and job progress, ensure work is completed in a timely and efficient manner and inform Service Manager of any employee performance or disciplinary problems.
  • Instruct new mechanics in the repair of equipment specific to BEI as well as inform the Service Manager on outside training needs of mechanics within the department.
  • Check-in equipment for repair or preventive maintenance by assessing the needed service and effectively communicating this with the Service Writer.
  • Assist mechanics in troubleshooting and diagnosing equipment problems.
  • Ensure that employees are properly working within company operational procedures including the accurate completion of all
  • Draft quotes for repairs of equipment to be processed by the Service Writer or Service Manager with final acceptance from the customer.
  • Foster and grow strong customer service relationships including informing customer on repairs needed and any other services BEI can provide.
  • Complete quality control inspections to ensure that repairs are completed properly, minimizing rework.
  • Check out equipment and ensure customer satisfaction with service.
  • Understand and work within the warranty policies.
  • Schedule work in advance to prevent mechanics from having unbillable time.
  • Be available to cover for mechanics as needed for vacations, illnesses and lunches.
  • Computer work to include looking up parts in PFW, quoting repairs through various software systems and using online manuals to assist in the repair of equipment, etc.
  • Show strong leadership abilities assisting with and assigning work as needed to keep the department and facility in good repair and presentation.
  • Maintain a safe workplace and correct unsafe actions. Lead by example.

JOB TITLE: Seasonal Steam Bay Attendant (April - October)

LOCATION: Louisville, KY

  • Wash equipment, maintain & clean steam bay & dig out and dispose of mud in steam bay pit.
  • Assist mechanics to diagnose equipment problems by operating / testing equipment.
